Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Moonstone & Moss. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and the purchase of antiques, collectibles, and related goods from our online store. By accessing our site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.


If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our website or make a purchase.

2. Eligibility

By using our website or placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) and capable of entering into a binding contract. We make every effort to display our products as accurately as possible, including detailed descriptions, measurements, condition notes, and multiple photographs. However, please be aware:

  • Antiques and collectibles are inherently unique and may show signs of age, wear, patina, or imperfection consistent with their history. These characteristics are part of their authenticity and are not considered defects.
  • Colors and details may vary slightly depending on your monitor or device settings.
  • We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in product listings, pricing, or availability at any time without prior notice.

If a significant error affects an order you have already placed, we will notify you and offer the option to confirm the corrected order or cancel for a full refund.


5. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in USD and do not include applicable taxes, duties, or shipping fees, which will be calculated at checkout. 


Payment must be received in full before any item is shipped. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including but not limited to suspected fraud, payment issues, or pricing errors.


Items remain the property of Moonstone & Moss until full payment has been received and confirmed.


6. Order Acceptance

Your order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order for any reason. An order confirmation email acknowledges receipt of your order but does not constitute acceptance. A binding contract is formed only when we ship the item or send a separate shipping confirmation.


7. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping times, methods, and costs are detailed at checkout 

Please note:

  • All items are carefully packaged to minimize the risk of damage in transit.
  • Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.
  • Risk of loss and title for items pass to you upon delivery to the carrier or, in the case of in-person pickup, upon your receipt of the item.
  • For international orders, you are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees imposed by your country.


8. Returns, Refunds & Damage Claims

All sales are subject to our Refund & Returns Policy (Below), which forms part of these Terms. Because we sell fragile, often one-of-a-kind items, our policy is strict. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and agree to that policy.


9. Authenticity

We stand behind the authenticity of every item we sell, to the best of our knowledge and based on available provenance, expertise, and research. Where applicable, condition reports, age estimates, and origin details are provided in good faith. Authentication disputes must follow the procedure outlined in our Refund & Returns Policy.


10. Use of Our Website

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use of the site. You agree not to:

  • Use the site to transmit harmful code, viruses, or malicious software
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the website, server, or related systems

Return and Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping with us. We take great care in sourcing, authenticating, and packaging every antique and collectible in our store. Because of the unique, fragile, and often one-of-a-kind nature of our inventory, we maintain a strict refund policy. Please read carefully before completing your purchase.


All Sales Are Final

As a general rule, all sales are final. Antiques and collectibles are sold "as-is," with age-appropriate wear, patina, and imperfections that are part of their character and history. These details are reflected in our listings through detailed descriptions and multiple photographs. We encourage you to review each listing thoroughly and contact us with any questions before purchasing.


Damage in Transit

While we package every item with the utmost care using appropriate materials for fragile goods, shipping damage can occasionally occur. If your item arrives damaged, you must:

  1. Notify us within 48 hours of delivery at azure@moonstonemoss.com
  2. Provide clear photographs of the damaged item, all packaging materials (inside and out), and the shipping label.
  3. Retain all original packaging until your claim is resolved.

Claims submitted after 48 hours, or without the required documentation, cannot be honored. Once your claim is reviewed and approved, we will work with you to determine an appropriate resolution, which may include a partial refund, store credit, or a shipping insurance claim, depending on the circumstances.


Items Significantly Not As Described

If an item arrives in a condition substantially different from what was described or photographed in the listing, please contact us within 3 days of delivery. We will review your concern in good faith. If we determine the item was misrepresented, we will offer a return for refund, less original shipping costs. The buyer is responsible for return shipping, which must be fully insured and trackable. Refunds are issued only after the item is received in its original condition.

Please note: natural variations in color due to monitor settings, normal age-related wear noted in the listing, and minor characteristics consistent with the item's age and origin do not qualify as "not as described."


Non-Returnable Items

The following are strictly final sale and not eligible for return, refund, or exchange under any circumstances:

  • Items marked "Final Sale" or "As-Is" in the listing
  • Items purchased during sales or promotional events
  • Custom orders, holds, or layaway purchases
  • Items damaged by the buyer after delivery
  • Items returned without prior authorization
  • Items returned in altered condition

Return Shipping & Restocking

Approved returns are subject to:

  • A restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price
  • Return shipping paid by the buyer, with full insurance and tracking
  • Items must be returned in original packaging in the exact condition received

Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item, issued to the original payment method.

Lost or Stolen Packages

Once a package is marked delivered by the carrier, responsibility transfers to the buyer. We recommend selecting signature confirmation or shipping to a secure address. We are happy to assist with carrier claims but cannot issue refunds for packages confirmed delivered.

How to Initiate a Claim

To begin any return or damage claim, email azure@moonstonemoss.com with your order number, photographs, and a description of the issue. Do not ship items back without prior written authorization — unauthorized returns will be refused.
